Through my own career, I am personally familiar with the complex demands made of international executives. For more than 25 years, I have gained professional and life experience throughout Europe, North America and Asia. In my work as a coach, I combine my experience in international management and consulting with my passion to empower executives, to help them grow further, and to discover and build their own strengths.
I studied in Vancouver, Freiburg and Paris. As a Relationship Manager for multinational corporates and issuers at BNP Paribas and HSBC, I had the great pleasure to work with teams from all over the world. I loved my job, but there was always this aspiration to accompany others on their journey towards personal and professional growth. It is my desire to lead my clients to greater clarity and ultimately to reach their goals.
In 2015, I took the decision to follow my dream and to “step out” in order to found kalum consulting, an international ecosystem of multilingual, experienced consultants who work on personal, team, and organisational development projects, especially across borders.

Malte, from a personal angle
I am the father of three children and love to discover the world and be a good host to my guests. I have lived abroad for twelve years, including one year at age 16 in a small community in Canada’s Pacific Northwest, which changed my life forever. Without electricity, central heating and phones, I was drawn in by nature and learned early on to appreciate what matters most and is truly essential.
This is where you can observe how thousands of Chinook salmon return to where they originally came from after having travelled thousands of kilometres in the Pacific Ocean. They have unbreakable bonds with their place of origin and are spiritually and culturally prized among the Pacific Northwest’s indigenous people. It’s a magic place I call home that has deeply shaped my personality.
